Mechanic – Ziegler Industries (Full-Time)
Location: Keokuk, IA | $25.00 - 30.00/hr

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Diagnosing and fixing diesel engine issues — mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic.
- Performing regular maintenance like oil changes, filter swaps, and fluid checks.
- Reading schematics and wiring diagrams like a pro.
- Doing light repairs on small gas-powered engines when needed.
- Logging repair records and keeping maintenance reports up to date.
- Using shop tools safely (forklifts, cranes, etc.).
- Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Assisting with parts runs and basic shop tasks as needed.
- Communicating clearly with your team and updating status on projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–4 years of diesel mechanic or related experience.
- Solid troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and apply technical manuals and schematics.
- Must have your own basic toolset (up to ½" drive).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Positive attitude, team mentality, and willingness to adapt.
- Comfortable with computers (Excel, Outlook, Teams = bonus!).
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting 50–75 lbs regularly.
- Bending, kneeling, crawling, and working in tight spaces.
- Working in loud, dirty, and sometimes hot/cold conditions.
- PPE is a must — you’ll be in a busy industrial shop.
